Little-Known Facts

It's been a week since we last played Game Time, so that means it's time to play Game Time. Isn't that a coincidence!

We were playing a round of the PSB Original Game, Bests and Worsts. This time, we asked you what the worst time to get caught in the rain would be. We got some good answers, so let's take a look.

Nick said, "With an open tote bag filled with gremlins." Yikes, that is certainly a bad time. But, it serves you right for carrying gremlins in an open tote bag. I hope you learn your lesson!

Big A's answer was, "On a high in the mountains in Spain. Rotten luck, eh?" We believe him to be making a reference to My Fair Lady, in which they assert that the rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain. And although we have been known to make allusions to My Fair Lady, Big A does not win.

So who does? Why, Luca, of course! He said the worst time to get caught in the rain is when "out for a night on the town in your brand new CHIA SUIT!" Nothing is worse than when your suit starts growing and turning green. Good job, Luca.

Now, to this week's game. You may remember a few weeks back we played a game where you make up a little known fact linking Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln. That was a fun one! And, since we at the Pake Shlake Band are always looking for fun new games, we are introducing the PSB original game, Little-Known Facts. How do you play? Well, very simply. We ask for a little-known fact about something, and you make one up. Let's play!

This past week, the LA Clippers won the NBA Draft Lottery, which means that the Clippers will get the first overall pick in the NBA Draft. Here's the game:

Create a little-known fact about the first overall pick of the NBA Draft.

Remember, it doesn't have to be true. In fact, truth is frowned upon. Just make it funny. Here's our answer:

In the 1987 NBA Draft, there was no first pick, just two second picks.

OK, your turn. Post your answers in the comments. Also, feel free to give us your feedback on our new game, or any other of the Game Time games that we play. Enjoy!

  1. In 2001 the Wizards drafted a center out of HS without hands. Considered a sure thing despite his disability Kwame never live up to his pre-draft hype and five years and numerous missed passes later they convinced the Lakers to take this 7 foot tall mistake and turned him into Caron Butler. The sixth overall pick of the 2001 draft.

  3. The first "first round" draft pick ever was the "Michelin Man". In 1946 the
Syracuse Nationals, owned by Italian immigrant Danny Biasone, didn't quite understand the process.

  5. The general manager of the Boston Celtics was running late to take his seat at the first NBA Draft. He entered the meeting room at Madison Square Garden and asked if he was in the correct place, coining the phrase, "Is there a draft in here?"
