No Day at the Beach

You know the expression, "It was no day at the beach"? It means something was not enjoyable or relaxing and was overall a hassle. I recently went to the beach. One of my friends got stung by a jellyfish, another one got sunburned, and I still have sand all over me. So, it seems that a day at the beach is no day at the beach.

  1. You guys are so funny. Unless you're talking about resorts in the Caribbean - The beach stinks!

You have to drive for hours to get there, there's no parking, so you have to carry chairs, food, clothes and towels for hundreds of yards, it's hot as hell, sand everywhere, ETC.

The saying should be, "Well, at least it wasn't a day at the beach."

  2. You guys are such beach haters. I think you are jealous because you scared of the water.

  3. I don't know who you think you are, Elizabeth. But hydrophobia is nothing to make fun of, it's the reason they shot Old Yeller. That's nothing to laugh at.
